The Ontario Modern Language Teachers’ Association/Association ontarienne des professeurs de langues vivantes has been supporting French as a Second Language and International Languages teachers of all programs and grade-levels since 1886. The association has been hosting annual spring conferences since that time, as well as regional fall conferences since 1955.
Today, the OMLTA/AOPLV continues to support FSL and IL teachers throughout the province through professional development resources and experiences, through advocacy at school boards and the Ministry of Education, and by cultivating partnerships with other stakeholders in second language education.
