• Module 1: Exploring Equity, Diversity and Intercultural Awareness through the culture component of the FSL Curriculum
  • This module will explore who we are as FSL educators and how our identities influence our pedagogies and relationships with learners. Our goal is to make important connections between the tenets of CRP and Intercultural Understanding and Awareness.
  • Module 2: Effective Instructional Practices for in-person, hybrid and virtual settings
  • This module will explore how educators can develop learner confidence and proficiency using CEFR-inspired practices in a variety of setting and delivery models. Content will include topics such as differentiating learning opportunities to honour learner voice and lived experiences. Participants will explore empowering tools for developing communication skills, assessment and evaluation, and learner engagement.

    • Module 3: Developing dynamic action-oriented tasks that meet the need of all learners
    • This module will support the development of action-oriented tasks that engage all learners at a variety of proficiency levels. A focus will be on the importance of identifying and knowing the needs of learners and taking this into account when planning tasks in order to meet individual learning needs.
