The Ontario Modern Language Teachers’ Association is pleased to announce our prestigious 2025 Spring Conference, centered around the theme “Sharing Ideas, Building Confidence”.
This highly anticipated event will feature an enlightening Keynote address by Dr. Monica Tang and a special evening performance by music artist Missy D. Immerse yourself in a two-day experience from Friday April 4 to Saturday April 5, 2025 at the Westin Harbor Castle in Toronto that promises invaluable learning opportunities, cultural enrichment, and the fervent celebration of the diverse languages we teach. We look forward to welcoming you to this exceptional event!

CALL FOR PRESENTERS
Are you interested in presenting at the OMLTA 2025 conference in April this spring?
If you are, we are looking for you! Applications are now open to submit proposals to present at our annual spring conference. We are looking for people who are interested in sharing their ideas and knowledge with others about teaching languages. The goal of the conference is to provide an inclusive professional learning experience that will inspire language educators at all levels of teaching and in turn, allow for greater student success in languages.
Presenters may submit one proposal as a lead presenter, be a co-presenter on one additional proposal or a co-presenter on two proposals if not a lead presenter. Proposals must be written in English to ensure that everyone on the review panel can understand the proposals however the sessions can be conducted in another language during the conference.
All proposals must be submitted through the Whova Event Website.
Important dates to note regarding proposals:
Sunday, September 15 – Proposal applications close
Tuesday, October 15 – Presenters will be notified about their proposal status
Friday, November 1 – Draft agenda will be posted for the opening of early bird registration
